Let’s Talk ozempic
Y'all had to know I was eventually going to dig into this topic more with so much HYPE about this weight loss injection.
Why should I even CARE? Because in 2010 my doctor gave me “natural” HCG shots to help me lose weight after having Reagan, and 6 months later I had a quarter-sized breast tumor. The short version is…after REALLY digging into the research, I later realized breast and ovarian tumors were documented in the trials. ie: I unknowingly did this TO MYSELF.
Since doctors RARELY give full disclosure (often they don't really even know) re the long term effects or how the drug works, I decided to take on that mission. Those of you that have been following me long enough, you know that's what I'm about.
So let's get into what I want you to KNOW, so that you have FULL DISCLOSURE to make an informed choice if Ozempic (Wegovy) is worth for YOU.
I report, you decide.
Let's start with that Ozempic was inspired by the venom of the “Gila Monster” lizard.
Process that for a sec.
*See EDIT at the bottom
Now you may think, “Eh, Seay, I'm still ok knowing that. Other medicines were also inspired by a venom …like ace inhibitors for blood pressure. No big deal… I'm losing weight so F*k it!” or you may be thinking it can't really be enough to cause any 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘦𝘴.
Let's unpack Ozempic and the reported side effects a bit more...
"𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦"
In nature, real venom affects the myotoxins in its victims, meaning it keeps muscle cells from contracting properly, paralysis & can lead to death of the muscle.
So what are we seeing with pharma-made Ozempic? People are losing fat, yes…but they also losing just as much muscle, through atrophy & cell death.
Let's move on to additional issues...
𝐓𝐡𝐞 “𝐍𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦"
In nature, real venom attacks the neurotoxins in the brain preventing cells from sending signals to the rest of the body….ie paralysis.
What are we also seeing more of recently with pharma-made Ozempic?
𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬.
It’s how these drugs make you feel full, folks. Your stomach slowly stops digesting, leaving food IN your stomach, so you EAT LESS.
𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘮 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘩? 𝘋𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘶𝘯𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘻𝘦 𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧? 𝘐𝘧 𝘯𝘰𝘵, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘛𝘏𝘌𝘕?
Anyone already using Ozempic may know this one since it's listed as a HUGE warning on the prescribing information. The warning is actually the FDAs most stringent warning for drugs: the Black Box Warning. Their most serious warning (more than one’s possible stomach paralysis) is for Ozempics potential to cause "𝐭𝐡𝐲𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐮𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐲𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬." It's on the label in a big black box. You cant miss it.
Ahh- good times. But hey- at least we'll be thin!
A third issue under the neurological category (as if the previous two weren’t bad enough) is 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Neurotransmitters, serotonin & dopamine (our happy hormones), can slow down & not send their chemical messages potentially leaving patients depressed & suicidal.
B𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦!
"𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦".
The irony in this adverse event is that pharma has packaged it as a wonderful OZEMPIC BONUS side effect for you!
Natural venom in nature causes blood not to clot, lowers blood pressure and causes red blood cells to burst. Essentially, venom causes ones organs to hemorrhage… ie: bleed out.
Pharma is selling you is that Ozempic is “heart healthy” for lowering blood pressure and clotting. Never mind all the risks of thyroid cancer, stomach paralysis, depression.

If you feel that it's still worth the potential risks to you, know this last bit:
It's an 𝘐𝘕𝘑𝘌𝘊𝘛𝘐𝘖𝘕. Like any injection, and unlike pills you can stop taking, it goes straight into your bloodstream and is irreversible. Once it's in your bloodstream, if you have a reaction or change your mind, it’s all sales final.
Again, I share this because I ONCE WAS THAT PERSON who wanted so badly to be thin- that I didn't think to look into what I was putting in my body beyond the pamphlet the doctor gave me. I’ve suffered too many times- and don't want others to have to suffer, too.
So I share.
Speaking of the medical industry, as a previous pharma rep, when pharma makes massive profits, doctors & pharmacies are incentivized to prescribe by pharma & insurance companies, I’ll ask you this, Do you think THEY have YOUR BEST INTEREST in mind?
In close, I’ll add this option, if what appeals to you about Ozempic is that “feel full” feeling so you eat less, consider FIBER. It’s nature's appetite suppressant. The right balance (soluble & insoluble) & kind of fiber can both fill you up and help flush out food decay from your stomach & intestines. The best form is from high fiber foods. Women need at least 25mg a day (men 35mg). Titrate up slowly because you'll feel uncomfortably full if you do too much fiber all at once.
But, unlike Ozempic, pharma doesn't make as much money if you go the fiber route, nor do you potentially become a repeat customer for them with all the other serious health issues that you could have with them.
Don't shoot the messenger.
I report. You decide.
Hugs-
Seay
EDITED FOR CLARIFICATION: "research into the gila monster venom (extendin-4) was found to be very similar to humans glp-1. The gila monster extending-4 research became the basis for ozempic" It's not Gila Monster venom itself, it's a human, then synthetic form that acts the same way. So they basically work similarly which is probably why so many of these side effects tend to also mimic those of venom, which was the inspiration of the drug.
